Volunteer opportunity: Saunders Park Community Orchard Wednesday 19th January 2022 PM
Wednesday 19th January - Saunders Park orchard 1.30 - 4pm
Join us at Saunders Park Community Orchard where we will be working in a tucked away community orchard adjacent to an incredible, edible, award winning community garden. Task for the session is to plant 8 trees extending the existing orchard and adding to the garden. Expert tree planting knowledge will be imparted ensuring trees are planted in a way that they are most likely to thrive. The work is very physical and will involve using post drivers and spades.
Your host
Stephan Gehrels supported by Community leader Rosie Lindford
When you register you will receive an email which will give you his contact phone number in case you need to call on the day.
Practical stuff
Please bring:

Come prepared for physical work and bring sturdy gloves, footwear and work gear to protect against weeds that sting, scratch and have nasty sap.
